Popular Kannada filmmaker A Harsha makes his Telugu debut with the cop saga
Gopichand, whose Ramabanam opened to tepid responses at the box office this May, is actively shooting for a cop saga Bhimaa next. The much-anticipated project marks the Telugu debut of noted Kannada filmmaker A Harsha. KGF 2 composer Ravi Basrur has come on board as the music director for the film produced by KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts.

While the shoot of the action entertainer is progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad, the makers have announced the female leads today. Popular Tamil actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, who forayed into Telugu with Kalyanam Kamaneeyam this Sankranti, and Malvika Sharma, best known for Red and Nela Ticket, have been roped in as the leading ladies for the same.
“LIGHTS, CAMERA, & WELCOME - Team #BHIMAA welcomes the charismatic @priya_Bshankar, the stunning actress @ImMalvikaSharma onboard. Regular shoot in progress. More exciting updates soon,” the production house confirmed the heroines over multiple tweets this morning. The first look of Bhimaa, launched few weeks ago, received encouraging responses from netizens.
Producer KK Radhamohan and Gopichand had previously joined forces for Pantham, a vigilante saga directed by K Chakravarthy, who helmed ZEE5’s successful show Puli Meka and co-wrote Waltair Veerayya recently. Meanwhile, Bhimaa is being made on a lavish scale, boasts intense emotions, high-voltage sequences catered to the masses.
Swamy J Gowda cranks the camera for Bhimaa, for which Ramana Vanka is the production designer and Kiran is the editor. Ajju Mahankali writes the dialogues and the stunts are choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, Venkat, and Dr Ravi Varma. The director A Harsha has helmed films like Bhajarangi, Bhajarangi 2, Vedha, Anjani Putra, Vajrakaya featuring A- listers of Kannada cinema.
