All the character posters of Bheeshma Parvam had been leading to Mammootty’s Michael. Fans of the megastar were in for a treat on New Year’s Eve when the team of the period gangster thriller revealed his character’s poster along with his name in the movie today.

While the team had earlier this year revealed Mammootty’s look from the movie, with grown out beard and hair, the latest character poster has him flaunting an ‘80s style sunglasses as he gets into the car. The film reportedly has Mammootty playing a former gangster-turned-entrepreneur, who is forced to return to his old ways after his family is threatened.

The movie, which completed shooting in Kochi this September, has a stellar cast including Soubin Shahir, Lena, Sreenath Bhasi, Sudev Nair, Nadiya Moidu, Farhaan Faasil, Shine Tom Chacko, Veena Nandakumar, Dileesh Pothan, Anagha, Srinda and Anasuya Bharadwaj. The movie also marks the final collaboration between Mammootty and Nedumudi Venu, who plays a character named Iravipilla.

Shine Tom Chacko had earlier told us that the movie is set in and around Kochi in the mid 1980s and is a gangster flick that is sure to thrill the audience. Fans have been eagerly waiting for Mammootty and Amal Neerad to team up for years. While the plan was to begin work on Big B’s sequel Bilal last year, the pandemic lockdown and restrictions had prompted the team to take up a smaller project first. This had led to Bheeshma Parvam, for which Mammootty had grown out his hair.

Earlier this month, Mammootty had announced that Bheeshma Parvam will hit theatres worldwide on February 24. This meant that Mollywood fans will be in for a treat this February with Mohanlal’s Aarraattu releasing on February 10 and also Fahadh Faasil’s Malayankunju.
