While Mammootty fans have been waiting with bated breath for the teaser of Bheeshma Parvam, the character posters that the team have been unveiling on a daily basis also feature Easter eggs for the eagle-eyed. The latest poster of former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant Ramzan reveals the time period in which Amal Neerad’s gangster-thriller is set.

The poster, which was shared by Mammootty on his social media page, revealed the character Ramzan is playing. Named Star, the young dancer and social media celebrity seemingly plays an actor in the movie.

The poster has his character in front of a dressing mirror, beside which a poster of Mohanlal’s 1989 superhit movie Chithram along with a photo of Balachandra Menon is visible. The photos also reveal the timeline in which Mammootty’s film is set.

In an earlier interview with us, Shine Tom Chacko, who plays Peter in the movie, had said, “Both, Amal and Mammukka, were planning the sequel of Big B before the pandemic. That movie had a huge canvas and was to be shot in other states and abroad. Compared to that, Bheeshma Parvam is a film set just in Kochi. It’s again a period film set in the late 80s – between 1985 and 1988 – and it’s also made on a limited scale and revolves around a house.”

The upcoming movie, which will release on February 24 in theatres, will mark the first collaboration between Mammootty and Amal Neerad after 14 years. Mammootty reportedly plays a former gangster-turned-entrepreneur who is forced to go back to his old ways after his family is threatened in the movie, which wrapped up shooting in September 2021.

The film also has Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shahir, Nadiya Moidu, Dileesh Pothan, Srinda, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Lena, Farhaan Faasil, Sudev Nair and Nedumudi Venu as part of its cast.
