Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya will be out in cinemas on Nov 25 in three languages, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
One of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the year is Bhediya directed by Amar Kaushik. The horror comedy, which stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, has been making news since 2021, and fans have been impatiently awaiting its release.
After months of anticipation, the movie will finally be released on November 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. For the movie, advance bookings have already begun. However, the pre-sales have had a poor initial reaction.
According to sources, Bhediya, which cost 60 crores to produce, will play on 2500–3000 screens in the domestic market. The censor board also granted the movie a UA certificate with an authorised runtime of 2 hours, 36 minutes, or 156 minutes.
The horror comedy is probably going to earn in between 2-3 crores on opening day based on the advance bookings recorded in these major cities. Additionally anticipated are on-the-spot bookings, which will greatly increase opening-day collections.
The figure would have been greater, but Drishyam 2 is still pulling in strong numbers and is still being showcased in week two. Although Bhediya's advances began airing on Saturday, they were only on a few shows, and the whole advance really debuted on Thursday morning. Although the response is slower than anticipated, it is hoped that spot bookings will, as usual, produce some results on the first day.
The movie's performance now depends entirely on the number of bookings for its opening day, which it should have ideally aimed for. A strong uptick in business from the evening shows, which will be sustained over the weekend with a regular increase, will occur if the buzz is positive and the appreciation is genuine. The good news for Bhediya is that it won't face much competition for the next three weeks, but the success of the movie will depend on how well it performs on Monday's box office.
However, 2022 has been the year of WOM films like Kantara, Sita Ramam, The Kashmir Files, and 777 Charlie, so if the content is good, Bhediya will finally pull crowds to the theatres.
