After a gap of five years, Bhavana is all set to make her Malayalam comeback with debutant director Adhil Maimoonath Asharaf’s Ntikkakkakkoru Premondarnn. The actress shared the news through her social media page.

The film, which is set to go on floors soon, also has Sharafudheen as part of the cast. The colourful poster of the film hints a coming-of-age tale that also has sports as a pivotal element. The poster also has sketches of athletics, Asian Games, a chase sequence as well as some romance, food and adventure.

The movie is also scripted by its debutant filmmaker Adhil, who is also the film’s editor. The film’s additional screenplay and dialogues are by Vivek Bharathan. Arun Rushdie will be cranking the camera for the movie, which has music by Joker Blues, Nishant Ramteke and Paul Mathews.

Mammootty had also shared the first poster of the film through his social media page. Bhavana was last part of a Malayalam film in 2017. She had starred in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Adam Joan, which was directed by Jinu Abraham. The actress, however, had been active in Kannada, being part of big projects such as Tagaru, 99 and Bhajarangi 2.

In a recent interview, Bhavana said she was again listening to scripts in Malayalam. Naradan director Aashiq Abu as well as Madhupal, who had worked with the actress in the State Award-winning film Ozhumuri, had pitched scripts to the actress. Anoop Menon, who worked with Bhavana in several films including Angry Babies in Love, had offered to shoot his movie in Bengaluru, where Bhavana was based, the actress said in an interview with The News Minute.

Meanwhile, Sharafudheen, who plays the male protagonist in the film, will next be seen in Afsal Abdul Latheef’s Pathrosinte Padappukal. He is also part of Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam director Senna Hegde’s next film 1744 WA, which is currently being shot. His previous release was Aashiq Abu's Naradan, in which he played a journalist.
