Bharga: Saurav Das and Prantika Das team up for a family drama

Saurav Das and Prantika Das are all set to pair up for the first time in Shuvam Ray’s directorial debut, Bharga. The actress is known for her appearance in the reality TV show Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti. Billed as a family drama, the actor and actress will be seen as husband and wife, Kaustabh and Sharmila. They have a happy conjugal life. However, an incident turns their lives upside down. How will they cope with the shock? That is what the film is all about. 

The director chose a family drama, but he claimed that the story was multilayered. “Though apparently a family drama, it has romance and mystery. Hopefully, the audience will not be let down,” he said.

Reports said that the producer wanted to spend the money earned from the film on social services. He said that he would spend the money to build a hospital in Nadia.

Saurav and Prantika previously teamed up for a web series which is yet to be released. Billed as a thriller, their web series 1954 is based on real-life incidents. It will be streamed on Fridaay, which is expected to be launched in July. 

Talking about the film, Saurav said, “This is my first work with Shuvam. My character is beautiful and I had an awesome experience. It has another angle. Shuvam has a noble effort. Hence I wanted to stand by him.” On the other hand, Prantika recently acted in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan. 

Kharaj Mukherjee, Loknath Dey, Debasish Ganguly, Gargi Sengupta, and Surya Majumdar play other roles in the film. The shooting has finished. The songs were shot in North Bengal. The release date will be announced soon.
