Bhamakalapam teaser: Aha’s original starring Priyamani is a home-cooked thriller

Aha has become a household name for Telugu entertainment industry and the OTT platform is coming up with a new web original. The project is titled as Bhamakalapam, in which the central character is essayed by popular South Indian actress Priyamani. The team has just released a teaser which looks interesting to say the least.

The teaser features Priyamani as homemaker Anupama. She faces the wrath of the other residents of her apartment for gossipping about them and trespassing into their life. The plot has a twist - there is an extraordinary situation i.e. a murder which takes place suddenly. What will happen next is likely to be the leading plot of Bhamakalapam.

Priyamani is a popular name in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam industries. The actress has won many awards and is best known for movies like Paruthiveeran, Chaarulatha, Pranchiyettan and the Saint and Puthiya Mukham. She has also appeared in the popular web series The Family Man, in which she plays the role of the wife of a secret agent. Bhamakalapam also marks her Telugu digital debut.

Meanwhile, the teaser also reveals the release date of Bhamakalapam. The film is slated to release on February 11. The movie is aptly captioned ‘a delicious home-cooked thriller.’

Helmed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti, Dear Comrade fame filmmaker Bharat Kamma is the showrunner of Bhamakalapam. The musical scores are composed by Justin Prabhakaran, while Deepak Kumar handles the cinematography. The Aha original is backed by Sudheer Edara and Bogavalli Bapineedu under the banner of SVCC Digital.
