Bhaiyya Ji box office collection day 2: Apoorv Singh Karki reunited with Manoj Bajpayee for Bhaiyya Ji after the success of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. However, the film failed to strike a right chord with the audience. Unlike their previous outing, which impressed the masses, Bhaiyya Ji opened to a mixed reception. Due to this, Manoj's 100th film got a slow start at the box office. The film witnessed a slight growth on day two at the ticket window.
According to Sacnilk, Manoj Bajpayee's revenge drama Bhaiyya Ji got an opening of Rs 1.30 crore. This was followed by the film minting Rs 1.75 crore on day two (as per early estimates). Since Bhaiyya Ji has mixed responses, it's difficult to say that the movie would witness significant growth in its box office collection. Bajpayee's movie was released in theatres around the same time as Chris Hemworth's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Mammootty's Turbo.
For the uninitiated, Manoj's last theatrical release was Joram. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the film collected Rs 40 lakh in one week of its release.

While promoting Bhaiyya Ji, Manoj Bajpayee opened up about playing a massy character in Apoorv Singh Karki's Bhaiyya Ji. "I have never done anything like this before. Of course, I’ve played a rural hero in Ram Gopal Varma’s Shool. But that was in the realistic space. Bhaiyya Ji is my first out-and-out masala hero-giri film," he said.
On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee had one OTT release this year. The actor returned as ACP Avinash Verma in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. It was the sequel to Aban Bharucha Deohans' film Silence... Can You Hear It?, which premiered on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Manoj shared screen space with Prachi Desai, Vaquar Shaikh and Sahild Vaid in the film.
