RJ Balaji stars in the lead role in Sorgavaasal, an action drama set in prison. Directed by debutant Sidharth Vishwanath, the film also features Selvaraghavan in a key role along with Natty Subramaniam, Karunas, Samuel Abiola Robinson, Sharafudheen and Balaji Sakthivel, among others. Said to be inspired by real events, the Tamil film follows an ordinary person who is falsely accused of a crime and ends up in jail.

Bhairathi Ranagal, the prequel to Shivarajkumar's 2017 film Mufti, traces the protognist's journey as he takes up the path of violence. The Kannada film, directed by Narthan, hit the theatres in November 2024 and had a good run at the box office. The film made its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Christmas .

The Telugu film revolves around the couple Abhiram and Akira who reside in the US. But after her father's demise, Akira decides to return home to take care of her mother but certain events happen. Helmed by Komal R Bharadwaj, the film weaves in concepts of time travel with mythology.
