The movie narrates the story, of a young couple named Aadhi and Tara, who decide to live together without getting married, in the house an elderly couple.

Jeans

Shankar, the hitmaker of Tamil cinema teamed up with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Prashanth for Jeans, in 1998. The movie revolves around a young couple named Visu and Madhu, who try to get the approval of their families. However, Visu’s father Nachiyappan is adamant that Visu and his twin brother Ramu should marry twin sisters, so that the brothers will never be forced to part ways.

Alaipayuthey

R Madhavan made his movie debut in 2000 with the iconic romantic drama Alaipayuthey, directed by Mani Ratnam. Shalini Ajithkumar plays the female lead in the movie, which narrates the love story of Karthik and Dr. Shakthi, a young couple who get married without the approval of their families. Even though the duo is initially against the idea of marriage and tries their best to cancel the wedding, they fall in love with each other. However, the marriage gets cancelled due to the misunderstanding, leaving them heartbroken.

Minsara Kanavu

Rajiv Menon, the popular cinematographer made his directorial in 1997 with the romantic drama, Minsara Kanavu. The movie narrates the story of Thomas (Aravind Swamy), who seeks the help of Deva (Prabhu Deva), to make the love of his life Priya (Kajol) reciprocate his feelings. However, Priya, who was planning to become a Nun, eventually falls for Deva thus complicating the situation.
