Rahul Bose, soon to be seen in Zee5's Berlin alongside Aparshakti Khurana and Ishwak Singh, shared a shocking and traumatic experience in the film industry. It is related to why he brings his own chair to sets to date. The actor spilled details on his traumatic experience with the industry right when he joined. Here's what happened, that it led to a point where Rahul Bose brings his own chair everywhere he goes, to date...
Rahul Bose had just come to the world of cinema, straight from theatre, and was working on a movie with only him as the lead. The film did not have any female lead. The actor recalled during an interview with Lallantop how he was not given a chair to sit on. "Sometimes I would sit on a road divider or a parapet, as if it was no problem," he said, further pointing out where the trouble lay. The director and producer's relatives, including his sister and uncle, all got a chair to sit on, except the lead actor of the film.
After experiencing life on sets without an opportunity to sit on a chair, Rahul decided to bring his own chair to the sets. He visited a restaurant and bought a fancy version of a chair, which cost him Rs. 10,000 nearly 30 years back.
Owing to the trauma from those days, Rahul has continued bringing his own chair to the sets. "I never want to go through that humiliation again," he said.
Rahul Bose has numerous well-known projects to his credit, both in the commercial and art cinema. The actor will now be seen in Berlin, which also stars Kabir Bedi. The movie will be available for streaming on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium from September 12.
