Money Heist spinoff Berlin is finally arriving to cool the raked over hearts of fans, who all had been shattered by the beloved character's death at the end of Money Heist Season 2.

Heartthrob Pedro Alonso-led Berlin is coming to brighten up your New Year. Money Heist spinoff Berlin, which focuses on a daring heist carried out by the eponymous character, also known as Andrés de Fonollosa. This news is sure to cheer up the fans, who all had been shattered by the beloved character's death at the end of Money Heist Season 2.
The new series will drop on Netflix on December 29, bidding a memorable farewell to 2023 and a refreshing welcome to 2024. Netflix released the official trailer of Berlin on November 28. It featured an intriguing mix of cast, comprising both returning characters and fresh blood.
Other than Alonso, Berlin also stars two original cast members who will reprise their roles, as their younger selves, Itziar Ituño (as Raquel Murillo) and Najwa Nimri (as Alicia Sierra). As for the rest of the cast, it comprises of Begoña Vargas (as Cameron), Michelle Jenner (as Keila), Julio Peña (as Roi), Joel Sanchez (as Bruce), and Tristan Ulloa (as Damian).

The new trailer offers an intriguing glimpse of the thrilling ride that awaits viewers. In Money Heist, Berlin died while having his team’s back. Therefore, the new season travels back in time and sets the premise in Paris. Here, Berlin plans to steal €44 million worth items from Chez Vienot, Maison des Encheres, a top-tier auction.
Here, we see a different side to Berlin, his carefree one. He was morally distraught and terminally ill in Money Heist, but in Berlin you can see his fun side. The anti-hero supporting storyline does not lessen his appeal or intention, as he is also sleeping with the auction house owner’s wife.
Also, while Money Heist is more of a resistance-based thriller series, Berlin is a purely heist-oriented one, focusing on the nuances of its execution, as well as the passion put into it. In 2021, after Berlin was declared, actor Pedro Alonso shared his gratitude with TVLine, for being able to touch the hearts of so many people. “We started this series walking into the unknown and we have been winning ever since. You, fans, are our accomplices and thank you for that.”
