It's a wrap for Bedurulanka 2012
Actor Kartikeya Gummakonda, who made his Tamil debut with Ajith’s Valimai the previous year, will kickstart 2023 with an apocalypse comedy, Bedurulanka 2012. DJ Tillu actress Neha Sshetty plays the female lead in the film written and directed by debutant Clax. Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni, one of the producers for the national award-winning Colour Photo, is bankrolling the film.
The first glimpse of the film, revolving around a small town’s reaction to the theory that the world would end in 2012, gave every reason for the viewer to await its release. Well, the unit is one step closer to the release. The makers wrapped the shoot of Bedurulanka 2012 on Saturday. The lead actors, director and the technical crew cut a cake to celebrate the completion of the film.
Reports suggest that the team plans to release the film in March. Ajay Ghosh, Raj Kumar Basireddy, Goparaju Ramana, Auto Ram Prasad, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath, Divya Narni and others play key roles in the film. The team hopes to unveil the teaser of the film shortly. The makers label it a new-age dramedy with a gripping screenplay surrounding an apocalypse.
Loukya Entertainments is producing this project while C Yuvaraj is the presenter. Mani Sharma composes the music for the same and two cinematographers, Sai Prakash Ummadisingu, Sunny Kurapati, have worked on the project. Brinda and Moin have choreographed the dance sequences and the late Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, Kittu Vissapragada, Krishna Chaitanya are the lyricists.
Anji, Prithvi Raj are the action directors and Anusha Punjala is the costume designer. Viplav Nyasadam is the editor. Kartikeya is also working another untitled action drama directed by Prashanth Reddy, whose streaming rights were bagged by Netflix recently. Neha Shetty is pairing up with Kiran Abbavaram for a film titled Rules Ranjann.
