Bedurulanka 2012 is one among the many exciting Telugu films that’ll have a release this August 25. RX 100 actor Kartikeya and DJ Tillu fame Neha Sshetty play the lead roles in the rural comedy set in 2012 around an apocalypse-like scenario. Debutant Clax has written and directed the film whose shoot was wrapped recently. Mani Sharma is composing the music for the project.
Two songs from the film Vennello Aadapilla, Solluda Siva are out already, garnering nearly 2 million views each on Youtube alone. The third single, Dongode Doragadu, sung by Sahithi Chaganti and lyricised by Kittu Vissapragada, was launched this morning. The number views the world through the eyes of opportunists who don’t pay heed to ethics or morals.
Dongode Doragadu is quite satirical in its tone and shows the vile ways of the world. ‘Lokam Lona Ee Chotaina Andharokkate..Yevidakadu Yerri Bagulodu..Nijamidhe,’ the song’s opening lines read. Sahithi captures the ambience of the song aptly through her rendition. The song, with all its sarcasm and worldly wisdom, is still catchy.
Mani Sharma and the lyricist Kittu Vissapragada make the most of a unique song situation, discussing the larger truths of the world without preaching morals. The lead actors, supporting cast including Ajay Ghosh, Srikanth Ayyengar and others make an appearance in the lyrical video. The film also stars Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, 'Auto' Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath, Divya Narni in key roles.
Colour Photo fame Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni is bankrolling the project under Loukya Entertainments. Sai Prakash Ummadisingu, Sunny Kurapati are the cinematographers and the crew also comprises editor Viplav Nyshadam, production designer Sudheer Macharla, stunt directors Anji, Prithvi Raj. Brinda and Moin have choreographed the numbers.
