Bedhadak: All you need to know about Lakshya, who will debut with Shanaya Kapoor in Karan Johar-produced film

In 2021, Dharma Cornerstone Agency announced Lakshya as part of its new talent roster. Today, the actor's debut vehicle Bedhadak was announced amid a lot of pomp and show. He will be seen as Karan to Shanaya Kapoor's Nimrit and Gurfateh Pirzada's Angad.

Who is Lakshya?

Before making it to the big screen, Lakshya became a household name with his role as Porus in the Sony TV series. He has also played recurring roles in teen soap MTV Warrior High, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil (Star Plus) and Adhuri Kahaani Humari (&TV).

Who stars in Bedhadak?

Besides Lakshya, the film, supposedly a love triangle, will star newcomers Shanaya Kapoor and Gurfateh Pirzada.

In an Instagram post, the actor wrote that he is "all set to dive into the world of Karan" and feels "humbled and honoured" to be a part of this film.

What else do we know about the upcoming actor?

Lakshya has signed a four-film deal with Dharma Productions, which includes feature films and digital content as well. Even before his debut was announced, Lakshya was revealed to be the third lead in Dostana 2 a follow-up of the hit film Dostana.

"He was chosen after a series of meticulous auditions and test shoots. We are thrilled to engulf him in our creative world and look forward to creating celluloid magic together," producer Karan Johar once told Bombay Times.

In an interview with Tellychakkar Lakshay had shared that he had once auditioned for MTV Roadies, but instead of landing a place on the reality show, he was offered a role in a daily soap.

In the same interview, the actor had said that he never planned on becoming an actor but wanted to join the Indian Army. "But after coming to this industry, I started enjoying acting and that’s the reason I am still a part of it," he had added.
