Beast: Vijay features with a gun in this unseen still from Nelson’s action comedy

There is always a lot of fanfare ahead of any Vijay film and the same is the case with Beast. Directed by Nelson and starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead, the movie’s release is edging closer.

The makers of the highly-anticipated action comedy have now released a new unseen still from the movie. Sun Pictures took to social media to share the photo, which has Thalapathy Vijay with intensity in his eyes, pointing a gun at something or possibly someone.

The photo, which was just shared with the hashtag, “#BeastUnseenStill”, has already gone viral on social media. The hashtag is already trending on Twitter with the star’s fans already having used the hashtag over 80 thousand times in the first hour.

Directed by Nelson, the movie also features Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, John Vijay, Lilliput Faruqui, and Redin Kingsley, among others in supporting roles.

The makers have already released two singles from the movie so far. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, both songs have become massive hits. The first single, Arabic Kuthu, was released on February 14 and has over 230 million views on YouTube. Titled Jolly O Gymkhana, the second single was released last week and has over 23 million views so far.

Earlier this month, the makers also announced the official release date for the much-awaited movie. Beast is set to hit theatres around the world on April 13. With a runtime of 155 minutes, the movie has also been censored with a U/A certificate.

Vijay was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s actioner, Master, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan, among others.
