When Aditya was performing in Bhilai recently, a video of him snatching a fan's phone and throwing it away went viral and drew criticism. While commenting on this, stand-up comedian and Big Boss 17 winner Munawar changed the lyrics to Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak's popular song Papa Kehte Hain, which was sung by Aditya's father, Udit Narayan. Munawar's tweet read, "Papa kehte hain, badnaam karega! Beta humare aise kaand karega…#AdityaNarayan."

What is the Aditya Narayan controversy all about?

On February 11, when Aditya was performing at an event in Bhilai, Chhatisgarh, a video that was taken there went viral on social media. In the video, Aditya can be seen singing Aaj Ki Raat from the 2006 movie Don. He stops as he enters the stage and turns towards a spectator, whom he strikes while trying to take his phone. Aditya then snatches the phone and tosses it into the crowd.

This is not the first time that the singer has found himself in the midst of a controversy. Aditya was in the news earlier when a video of him getting into a heated argument with a Raipur airport employee surfaced in 2017.

Aditya Narayan's response to the concert controversy

Having faced a lot of heat, Aditya spoke about it to Zoom three days after the incident. But it was a brief response. All he said was, "Honestly, no comments. I am answerable to the Almighty. That’s all."

Aditya's manager's and concert management teams’ response to the drama

Aditya's actions were explained by the concert's event manager, who said that the fan was disrupting the concert and had struck Aditya many times with his phone. The singer's manager also talked about the backlash that the singer has been receiving online and asked people to weigh both sides of the argument.
