Mammootty recently took to his Facebook handle and dropped a hint on his next release. Notably, the megastar has not revealed anything about the Bazooka release date, so far.
Mammootty had a fantastic run at both the box office and OTT space in the first half of 2024, with back-to-back successful outings. The megastar was supposed to make a comeback to the theatres in the second half with Bazooka, the game thriller film, which was initially supposed to get an Onam 2024 release. However, the project was delayed further due to technical reasons. Meanwhile, Mammootty changed his cover picture on Facebook recently and hinted that Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse might be his next release.
For the uninitiated, the megastar always keeps the poster of his next release as the cover image of his official Facebook handle. The netizens have been noticing that Mammootty has not updated his cover image with the Bazooka poster even after the team dropped the teaser and multiple posters of the film. However, the veteran actor recently went on and updated the cover picture with the new poster of Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
This move by the megastar surprised the fans, who were expecting Bazooka to be his next 2024 release. The netizens suggest that Mammootty just confirmed the reports on the Deeno Dennis directorial getting delayed further by not updating its poster as his cover picture on Facebook. However, both the veteran actor and the makers of the film have not officially announced the change in release plans, yet. Notably, Bazooka also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role.

If the rumors are to be believed, Bazooka might not hit the big screens in 2024, as expected earlier. According to the grapevine, the project has been delayed due to undisclosed technical and financial issues and might get an early 2025 release. However, a small section of Mammootty fans and cine-goers are still hopeful that the Deeno Dennis directorial might hit the theatres at least by the end of 2024.
