After having done a spectacular role in the hard hitting The Kerala Story, the extremely talented Adah Sharma is back with yet another film Bastar The Naxal Story. Ever since the time the trailer of the film has got released, her phone has just not stopped ringing from people calling her to compliment about her role in the trailer. It’s the very same Adah Sharma in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, wherein she speaks about her role in the film and the preparations that she underwent for the same.

In a nutshell, Adah, how would you like to describe the entire premise of the film Bastar The Naxal Story?
It is about an issue that's happening in our country. It's a truth that has been kept hidden. And I think if anyone loves their country, then they will definitely have the film because it's about something that's happening in our country that you don't even know about. The film is about the enemies within the country itself.

We have, so far, in many films, have seen the villains always come from outside. But, in this film, you will see that the villains come from your own country and then they land up doing things that one cannot even think about! Honestly speaking, I personally did not know about a lot of these things until the time I did this film.

Watch Tejas, Expendables 4, Australian Open, Cubicles 3, and more on OTTplay, by subscribing to the Jhakaas monthly pack, which provides access to 22 OTTs at just ₹249 for the first month.

How has been the whole 'Bastar The Naxal Story' experience?
It has been crazy to say the least. Just like the film, the entire month has been crazy for me. Firstly, there was The Kerala Story’s OTT release, there was Sunflower 2 and now, there is Bastar! These three were totally different roles in itself. And, I consider myself so lucky that I have got to play these varied roles in my career. I think the whole country has been praying for me. I have too many angels on my side.

Did you ever speak to the director/ makers of the film about how and when did the basic thought of Bastar The Naxal Story originate?
It actually originated for the filmmakers. They cast me later on. It was like Sudipto went to Vipul sir with a story, something that he had said in an interview. He said that, after he came to him with the story, he decided that he had to make it because it's a story of our country that needs to be told that people don't know about.
