Rajendra Karma is the CM of Bastar in Chhattisgarh. He is someone who cares for his people, and is affected by the deaths happening under his watch. The CM is someone who does not shy away from expressing exactly what he feels.
Karma understands that Bastar is now known thanks to the violence by the Maoists. He pleads to the people to understand what Bastar really is, but also asks for how long will the government keep quiet when the Maoists only take action through guns and bullets. 3215 villages in Bastar are threatened by the conflict in the area. Saving them is Karma’s first priority. Thus, he leaves for what he calls rally of change, and gathers all of Bastar for the same. Bastar is the name of a district in Chhattisgarh. The movie talks about the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. The same is affecting people even in today’s times, especially in Naxal-affected areas and the places where they hold the most influence is called Red Corridor. This is in and around Chhattisgarh-Odisha and Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. In their fight, the Naxalites have often targetted police and government workers. The fight is for improved rights over land and better jobs for labourers and the poor.
The film also stars Vijay Krishna as Lanka Reddy, Shilpa Shukla as Neelam Nagpal, Yashpal Sharma as Utpal Trivedi, Subrat Dutta as Millind Kashyap, Raima Sen as Vanya Roy and Anangsha Biswas as Lakshmi.
