The details of Soubin Shahir and Basil Joseph’s next film have been unveiled by its makers. The movie has been titled Pravinkoodu Shappu. Chemban Vinod will also play a prominent role in this flick.

According to sources, the film’s shooting is progressing in various locations in Thrissur and Ernakulam. Sreeraj Sreenivasan is making his directorial debut with this movie, which is expected to release this year. The film is touted as a dark-humour drama.

Chandini Sreedharan, Shabreesh Verma, Niyas Bakker, Revathi, Vijo Amaravathi, Ramkumar, Sandeep, Sivajith Padmanabhan, and Pratapan K S are among the supporting cast of Pravinkoodu Shappu. In the upcoming days, further updates about this movie are anticipated.

Soubin Shahir, Chandini Sreedharan, Chemban Vinod, and Shabareesh Verma took part in the puja ceremony for the film held today (February 29).

Who are behind Pravinkoodu Shappu?

Following the success of Manjummel Boys, Shyju Khalid is helming the camera work for the film. The soundtracks and original score of the movie have been composed by Vishnu Vijay of Thallumala and Falimy fame. Shafeeq Muhammad Ali is the editor. Mu.Ri has penned the lyrics for the soundtracks. The executive producer is A R Ansar. The movie is slated to be A&A Entertainment's next release following Jithu Madhavan's Aavesham, starring Fahadh Faasil.

Soubin Shahir and Basil Joseph’s upcoming works

Now, Soubin Shahir is enjoying the success of his most recent movie, Manjummel Boys, which has received excellent reviews from viewers across the country and is a big hit at the box office. He is also playing a pivotal character in the Tovino Thomas-starrer Nadikar. The entertainer, which is directed by Lal Jr, is slated to hit the big screen on May 3.

Basil Joseph has a line-up of eagerly awaited films such as Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, and Nunakuzhi this year, along with his directorial debut in Bollywood. He will also appear in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s next directorial, Varshangalkku Shesham, which will release in theatres on April 11.
