Barroz, the long-awaited directorial debut of veteran superstar Mohanlal, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on December 25, 2024. The movie, touted to be a 3D fantasy children’s film, has been garnering attention with its highly promising teaser, posters, and songs. As per the latest updates, Barroz has now finished the censor formalities, and has bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board.

The Mohanlal starrer reportedly bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board without any cuts, which confirms that the Mohanlal starrer is a perfect choice for the children and family audiences. The recent updates suggest that the period fantasy film has a duration of two hours, 34 minutes, and 48 seconds. Reportedly, Barroz has bagged a ‘PG’ rating, from the British censor board.
Mohanlal, the director who also plays the titular character in the film, recently opened up about his ambitious project in promotional interviews. According to the superstar, the team particularly shot the film using 3D cameras, as the conversion might impact the visual quality of the film. Interestingly, Mohanlal stated that the audiences, who will watch the film on 3D format, will not get a head ache due to the visual quality. As reported earlier, Barroz is only releasing in 3D format across globe.
Along with Mohanlal, Barroz features a massive star cast including Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Ignacio Mateos, Kallirroi Tziafeta, June Fig, Tuhin Menon, Guru Somasundaram, Komal Sharma, Viviya Shanth, Pedro Figueiredo, and others. Santhosh Sivan is the director of photography. Lydian Nadhaswaram composed the songs for the film, while Mark Kilian composed the background score. B Ajith Kumar handles the editing for the film, which is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
