Amid the pandemic, there was a tsunami of content that reshaped the entire OTT space in India, and suddenly streaming became an alternate option for entertainment—and a concrete one at that. Amazon Prime Video, in 2020, released some of the most loved shows and soon became one of the big players in the business. One show that tapped into the sweet spot between classical and pop culture was Bandish Bandits starring Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhary. There had been little to no updates on the show since then until this year, when the streamer confirmed they were making a new season of the show that impressed a wide range of audiences across the world. We now stand a fortnight away from the release of the show and just a couple of days away from the trailer.
In Bandish Bandits which also stars the legendary Naseeruddin Shah, Indian classical singer Radhe, played by Ritwik Bhowmik, and pop star Tamanna, played by Shreya Chaudhary, unite to explore a common ground for their music and grow together. The drama that unfolds involves families, their music, the world, and a jugalbandi that decides the fate of Radhe and his art. While recurring actors like Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Kunal Roy Kapur, and more return to reprise their roles, the promotional material has also introduced some new faces.

Divya Dutta as Nandini
The newest character, Nandini, will be played by the iconic Divya Dutta in Bandish Bandits Season 2 as a music school teacher. Yashaswini Dayama as Saumya
