Kay Kay Menon and Avinash Tiwary’s highly anticipated web series Bambai Meri Jaan is ready to premiere on September 14 on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the series is set in post-Independence Mumbai, exploring the themes of family relations, crime and the underworld. Avinash underwent a character transformation to get into the skin of Dara Kadri. He is ruthless, cunning, ambitious and hungry for power. His father, a police officer named Ismail Kadri (played by Kay Kay), is juggling his personal and professional life, as well as struggling with financial constraints.

Plot

Ismail is on a mission to fight against crime and corruption in his area. In this attempt, he gets engulfed with local goons, Haji and Pathan, not knowing that his son Dara is on a separate mission to join hands to become the new godfather of ‘Bambai’. The trailer is a perfect blend of action, adventure, crime and thrill that promise to make the series a bone-chilling experience.

Cast

Apart from Kay Kay and Avinash, the series features Amyra Dastur, Kritika Kamra and Rensil D’Silva in lead roles. Bambai Meri Jaan is written by S Hussain Zaidi and produced by Excel Media and Entertainment, under Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmaria and Farhan Akhtar.
