Balakrishna completes 48 years in films, resumes shooting for #NBK107 with Shruti Haasan and Gopichandh Malineni!

There’s huge expectation surrounding Balakrishna’s upcoming film, the action entertainer #NBK107, that’s coming right after the star’s massive success in 2021, Akhanda. #NBK107 is a high-voltage actioner helmed by Krack filmmaker Gopichandh Malineni. Shruti Haasan is teaming up with Balakrishna for the first time while Duniya Vijay is all set to make his Telugu debut as an antagonist with the film. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar essays a key role in the project too.

The team of #NBK107 has commenced a new schedule today. The lead cast and crew have begun filming key sequences from the film in Istanbul (Turkey). Balakrishna, Shruti Haasan and Gopichandh Malineni confirmed the news by sharing a selfie from the shoot location through their social media handles. Incidentally, Balakrishna also completes 48 years in Telugu cinema today. Besides talkie portions, select action episodes will also be shot in the current schedule.

Earlier, the makers gave enough reason for Balakrishna’s fans to cheer on the star’s birthday by unveiling a glimpse of #NBK107 besides sharing an impressive poster (both of which earned fantastic responses). The film has S Thaman coming up with the music score – this is the music director’s second project with Balakrishna after Akhanda. Rishi Punjabi is the cinematographer of the high-budget entertainer. National-award winning technician Navin Nooli is the editor.

AS Prakash is the production designer with Ram-Laxman choreographing the action sequences. Sai Madhav Burra, who worked with Balakrishna across films like Gauthamiputra Satakarni, NTR biopic, to name a few, is penning the dialogues. Chandu Ravipati and Kurra Ranga Rao are the executive producer and co-director respectively. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are the producers. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the much-awaited masala potboiler.

Though many compared #NBK107 to Shiv Rajkumar’s Mufti noticing similarities in a few stills, the team had denied such claims. Malayalam actor Laal is also playing a pivotal role in the project. Balakrishna’s next film after #NBK107 will be directed by Anil Ravipudi.
