Badhaai Do poster: Rajkummar Rao-Bhumi Pednekar set to spill their secrets in the trailer to be released on THIS date

Badhaai Do is set for theatrical release.

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to get themselves into Badhaai Ho mode. The actors unveiled the new poster for the film ahead of the trailer release, which will be out tomorrow. In the poster, Rajkummar is seen in a cop uniform with a groom turban on his head. Bhumi wears a leather jacket as a bride and completes her look with rainbowy makeup.

While sharing the poster, the actor captioned it as "Kal aa raha hai hamara trailer. Kal Badhaai dena vaise aaj bhi dena chaho toh de sakte ho. #BadhaaiDoInCinemas. I can’t keep it a secret anymore. In the film, Rajkummar plays a Delhi cop who is the lone male cop in a mahila thana (woman's police station). While Bhumi will play a physical education teacher at a school, Badhaai Do is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary, who also wrote Badhaai Ho.

In a statement, Rajkummar said that he is relieved that things are picking up and the wheel is turning again. Badhaai Do holds a particular place in his heart and he is excited to play this complex character with multiple conflicts within and around him. In terms of character preparation, Rajkummar has his own method of doing so, and this time it's the setting of this character in Badhaai Do that sets it apart.

The actor added that the audience is in for a treat, which will be revealed over time, and he is delighted to reconnect with the audience.

While Bhumi had stated that in her past films she had played a variety of characters, her character in Badhaai Do is absolutely unique. Since the initial narration, she has been a fan of the script because the issue is timely and presented in an interesting manner. The actor is very pleased to be working with Rajkummar for the first time.
