Dousing off the rumours claiming that Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, will release in December this year, the makers of the film have now confirmed that the film will release next year. Starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, the action drama will now release on Eid 2024.
Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani's company, Pooja Entertainment, is in charge of producing the movie. This upcoming project is touted to be one of the biggest entertainers in 2024.
In a press statement, producer-actor Bhagnani shares, “This has been a milestone year for us at Pooja Entertainment. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been one of our most ambitious projects. It has been a dream come true to work with Akshay Sir, Prithviraj, and Tiger. Their captivating screen energy is amalgamated with world-class action sequences along with entertainment. We can’t wait for the audiences to witness this grand spectacle in the theatres on Eid 2024.”
Adding to this development, producer Deepshikha Deshmukh shares, “It’s been a year of conceptualisation, meticulous planning, and tireless hours for the team on the sets of Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan. The camaraderie between Akshay sir and Tiger will captivate the audiences — with their enigmatic screen presence, undeterred energy, and high-octane action sequences woven magically together by Ali (Abbas Zafar; director). We can’t wait for the audience to see the film on Eid 2024”
On this, Zafar quickly adds, "I am delighted to be an integral part of such a big franchise. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is very close to the audience's heart and bringing all the entertaining elements in this mass entertainer for the audience was a tough and enjoyable experience. On top of all, having slated its release for Eid 2024, it will definitely be a treat for the audience to enjoy the festival with power-packed entertainment!"
Earlier in the day, sources close to the development told news portal Pinkvilla that "an official announcement [about the release of the film] is around the corner. The film will most probably be released on April 10 or April 11, 2024, depending on the day of Eid."
Since the film will be released on a festive weekend, the makers of the film hope that the film performs well at the box office as well as on OTT platforms. "For this, the team of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan wants to give adequate time to the post-production and bring out a quality product for the audience," the source concluded.
With this development, the makers of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan have prevented the clash of the film with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur. Both Jawan and Sam Bahadur are slated to hit theatres in December this year.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Ayala F, who play pivotal roles alongside Shroff and Kumar. The makers have also roped in Malayalam actor Prithviraj to play the antagonist in the film. The film's shoot is expected to wrap up in the next seven days.
