Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta were not keen on aging on-screen and thus decided to quit the show.
One of the most watched television shows is Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 starring Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar. The show is a continuation of Bade Acche Lagte Hai, which was produced by Ekta Kapoor and featured Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar in the key roles. Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar, the show's two primary leads, have announced their exit from it in terms of the second season. Disha and Nakuul opted to leave the show because they did not want to age on-screen when the drama made a 20-year generational leap. According to recent rumours, the show will have a cast of well-known actors as well as new performers from the generational shift.
The popular actress Niti Taylor has reportedly been cast to portray the female protagonist in Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2. This is according to the most recent rumours doing the rounds. According to an ETimes TV report, Niti Taylor will play the female protagonist alongside Ranndeep Rai. According to this source, Niti would be portrayed as Ram (Nakuul Mehta) and Priya's (Disha Parmar) daughter in the show. Randeep's character's identity is still a mystery. Hiten Tejwani, who recently joined the Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 cast, portrays Lakhan, the brother of Nakuul.
Disha Parmar explained why she decided to leave Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 after more than a year of involvement in an interview with ETimes. Speaking about the leap in the show, Disha revealed that she had concerns when the producers first introduced the leap and she was cast as the mother of a five-year-old girl. However, she opted to go with the show because the plot was compelling. Disha stated that she believed it was time to move on because Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is spanning a 20-year span.
Nakuul Mehta, on the other hand, claimed that despite many people's initial scepticism due to the fact that they remade a legendary show, the show has received a lot of positive feedback. But he believes that it has been absolutely unique for it to travel and reach out to individuals in the way that it has. He continued by saying that after being a part of it for so long, he feels creatively satisfied and that he would miss playing Ram.
Meanwhile, Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 debuted on August 21 and is aired on Sony TV every day at 8 p.m.
