Badass Ravi Kumar title teaser Twitter reactions: Netizens mercilessly troll Himesh Reshammiya’s film, leads to memefest

Himesh Reshammiya fans certainly had a lot to celebrate when the actor-singer announced his return to the silver screen in Badass Ravi Kumar. The film, the spin off of his 2014 film The Xposé, will see Himesh reprise his role as Ravi Kumar from the film. The makers unveiled the title announcement teaser of the upcoming action entertainer, complete with over the top action sequences and one liners, with Himesh looking his badass best. When the teaser, which has already garnered over 9 million views on Youtube just a day after its release, dropped, netizens certainly had a lot to say about it.

Twitter was rife with people mercilessly trolling the teaser, which seemed to inspire a meme fest on the platform. “Just saw #badassravikumar announcement. Himesh Reshamiya should be paying audiences to even think of watching this one”, wrote one user.

Many users channelled her creative side while criticising the teaser. While some took a jab at Himesh’s casting, others did not spare the first track from the film, Butterfly Titliyan from their jokes either. “Himesh Reshammiya can top in UPsc Exam Without Even Reading The book , With this kind of Confidence”, joked one user. Another even compared the film to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

Some users were at their sarcastic best when they declared that Badass Ravikumar should be a contender for the Academy Awards. However, some users seemed to be genuine in their reactions and support, with one claiming that Himesh was an underrated actor, and hoped that the film would get him the recognition he deserves.

Kamaal R Khan did not spare the film of his criticisms either. The film critic pointed to the fact that Himesh was the producer, writer and lead star of the film, and joked that the actor-singer might be its singular viewer as well.

Badass Ravi Kumar will be released in 2023. An exact release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
