Triptii Dimri undergoes a transformation from intense roles to mainstream cinema in Bad Newz.
Her small role in Animal (2023) turned Triptii Dimri's career around proving that anything is possible in Bollywood. The success of the film brought her numerous benefits, including a larger audience and the moniker "national crush." Karan Johar announced last month that Vicky Kaushal, Triptii, and Ammy Virk will appear in his upcoming film Bad Newz. According to Mid-Day, director Anand Tiwari's comedy revolves around the rare medical disease of heteropaternal superfecundation, even though the posters launched in March portrayed the actor sporting a baby bump.
Pregnancy is supposedly the main dilemma in the spiritual sequel, just like in filmmaker Raj Mehta's Good Newwz (2019). Bad Newz centres on the medical condition of heteropaternal superfecundation, where a woman conceives twins from separate men, while Good Newwz revolves around an accidental sperm swap. The source claims that a real-life event inspired the film.
In the comedy, both Vicky and Ammy will be romantically involved with the actor. The genre is the most significant change between her submissive role in Animal and the upcoming film. After playing a tragic lover in Laila Majnu (2018), a vengeful woman in Bulbbul (2020), and a depressed singer in Qala (2022), this is her first comedy role.
A source told the tabloid that this will be Triptii's first big outing as a leading lady in a commercial cinema. They also revealed that she portrays a modern-day woman typical of Dharma heroines: an ambitious chef willing to do anything it takes to further her career.
This year, Triptii is clearly going for the mainstream with his films. The actor's upcoming projects include the horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-starring Kartik Aaryan, and the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, in which he will star alongside Rajkummar Rao. However, that doesn't imply she's finished tackling dramatic stories just yet. Shazia Iqbal is directing Johar's romantic drama, which features the actor alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film has no title as of yet. Rumour has it that the caste system serves as the setting for a deep love story.
The original 2018 Tamil smash Pariyerum Perumal served as inspiration for the upcoming film. At the moment, it is in the post-production stage. As a spiritual sequel to Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter's Dhadak [2018], which examined class distinction, the directors are pondering naming it Dhadak 2.
Triptii has a meaty line-up of films and promises to slay on the big screen like she did over the years on OTT.
