Bad Newz out on OTT, but with a twist!

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk's romantic comedy film Bad Newz was released in cinemas last month. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the movie had a theatrical release on July 19, 2024. Over a month after its theatrical run, the film has landed on OTT but with a twist. The makers of Bad Newz didn't share an official announcement about its OTT premiere before the film dropped on Amazon Prime Video.

Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri-starrer Bad Newz isn't directly available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. You need to pay a rental fee of Rs 349 to be able to watch the romantic comedy film on the platform. Even if you are a subscriber, it is necessary to pay the rental fee to watch Anand Tiwari's directorial.

Having said that, there's no update from the makers of Bad Newz about the film's actual streaming release date. Talking about the film, the movie has been backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Amazon Prime, and Leo Media Collective. Apart from the three lead actors, Bad Newz stars Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chaddha, Gajraj Rao, and Faisal Rashid.

Triptii Dimri on attempting comedy genre

Earlier, in an interview with IANS, Triptii Dimri spoke about attempting the comedy genre. She further sheds light on the challenges she faced. The actress said, "I want to thank Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the film because you haven't seen me do comedy at that level. It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good."
