Screenplay and dialogue challenges

Co-writer Tarun Dudeja discussed the challenge of aligning the screenplay and dialogue with the captivating storyline in a previous interview with Bollywood Hungama. He responded by stating that the task was immense. The humorous one-liner can have devastating effects on those caught in it. However, they must communicate it in a way that provokes uncontrollable laughter as viewers witness the insanity play out on screen.

They are also cognizant of how serious the issue is, as comedy is notoriously difficult to write. It took him 16 or 17 revisions to get the punchlines just right in a matter of minutes. With their full support, Anand Tiwari and Amritpal encouraged him to seek out the finest. They even took care of determining the right length for a joke. The internal creative staff would listen as they narrated the humorous one-liners. The next step would be to check if it's landing correctly. A further consideration was whether or not some gags were getting too specialised for the average viewer.

Bad Newz is currently playing in theaters.
