Gulshan Devaiah plays double role in the upcoming series, Bad Cop, while Anurag Kashyap plays a gangster
Anurag Kashyap and Gulshan Devaiah have left everyone intrigued with what is to come in their upcoming series, Bad Cop. The duo has now come together to teach you the new examples of ABCD. Not just that, there’s a nursery rhyme which is a part of the trailer unveiled by the makers. Watch it here…
The nursery rhyme Ba Ba Black Sheep has got a twist. While the first two lines, Ba Ba Black Sheep have you any wool is as is, the filmmaker-actor has given it a censored twist in Hindi.
His one-liners as Kazbe do not end there. He calls himself a fair man, so fair that he shines at night. In the very next scene, he gives the weak hearted a jumpscare. Kazbe, a gangster, is in prison and has been doing dealings. The promo starts and ends with him teaching us the new version of ABCD.
When it comes to Gulshan Devaiah’s Karan, he holds a gun towards a man who stands as a woman he had hired is dead on the carpet-laid floor. The actor receives much lesser money than expected and has the most epic dialogue, “Yeh kya teen-chaar hazaar rupiye (Rs. 3,000-4,000)! Pachees (25) saal ki EMI pe lene wala tha kya iski tu?” He was obviously giving the rate for the service provided.
Soon, Karan is seen as a cop who breaks bones. That is when Harleen Kaur’s wife Devika enters and questions him about Arjun (his double role). She happens to be his senior, and demands respect for the same.
Saurabh Sachdeva enters the scene, and investigates Karan and Arjun. He is working with Pune Police but according to him, they are not working with him.
The promo also sees the makers use the uber-popular Delhi Belly song Bhaag DK Bose. That is when the highest moments between Karan and Arjun occur. Right from action to streamy romance, the small moments have it all.
Directed by Aditya Datt, Bad Cop will stream on Disney+Hotstar from June 21.
