Returning from earlier films are Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, John Salley, and DJ Khaled. After three films starring Theresa Randle, Tasha Smith steps into the role of Theresa Burnett.

Despite having a production budget of under $100 million, Bad Boys: Ride or Die became the seventh highest-grossing film of 2024, with worldwide earnings of over $388 million.

Potential fifth installment in the franchise

According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Smith and Lawrence expressed their willingness to return for a fifth installment in the franchise, with the caveat that the younger actors in the cast should perform more stunts and the plot involving their characters should be compelling. Lawrence added that fan demand would also influence the decision.

There have been talks of a fifth Bad Boys film, although the producers were mainly waiting to see how well Bad Boys: Ride or Die does at the box office, as producer Jerry Bruckheimer remarked.
