Bachchhan Paandey box office collections Day 2: Akshay Kumar starrer witnesses a slight dip on its first Saturday

The Kashmir Files wave has affected the business of Bachchhan Paandey.

On day two, Bachchhan Paandey observed a dip in business, collecting roughly Rs 11 crore nett. The reduction was primarily due to the Mumbai circuit, which was severely impacted, particularly Gujarat, which had performed exceptionally well on day one. The Mumbai circuit saw a 30% decline in revenue, from over Rs 5 crore nett to Rs 3.25 crore nett plus.

As per Box Office India, in the rest of the country, collections increased or remained stable. While CP Berar, where most single screens were closed on Friday, saw collections nearly double, from Rs 37 lakhs to over Rs 70 lakhs, while Delhi/UP experienced a similar increase, from Rs 2.40 crore nett to Rs 3 crore nett. Today, Bihar will be tested, as it has been the most closed throughout the first two days. Due to the extended holidays, the Holi areas are doing well.

The major issue for the film is the multiplex business, as The Kashmir Files is doing so well that multiplexes are adding more shows, and Bachchhan Paandey is one of the casualties. The film's two-day box office total is Rs 23 crore nett, with little room for improvement on Sunday. The capacity is present at multiplexes, but the audience is diverted to another picture, leaving Bachchhan Paandey as a single-screen movie.
