Recently, superstar Salman Khan came on board for the Kalees directorial. Khan has a cameo appearance in the movie and his character is crucial to the film's storyline. Fresh details about Salman's character in Baby John have surfaced online.

According to the Mid-Day report, Salman Khan will be seen essaying the character of a senior police officer in Baby John. This role was originally played by Prabhu in the Tamil film Theri. The report suggests Khan will be seen as a 'swashbuckling cop' in the Varun Dhawan-starrer.

"Since Salman is known for his action roles and swag, Atlee and Kalees have added some fight sequences featuring the superstar. He will be seen as a swashbuckling cop with some tongue-in-cheek dialogues," a source told the tabloid. It is reported that Salman's character will be seen as a mentor to Varun's character. He will show faith in him and bring him back to the police officer.

Baby John is reportedly around Varun's character, a dynamic cop, who leaves the police force after he meets with a personal tragedy. While he goes into hiding to raise his daughter in a safe environment, he returns to his fierce self when his child's safety is threatened.

Divulging more details about Salman's cameo, a source told the tabloid that Khan will shoot his introduction scene and some action set pieces over the weekend. "Kalees and writer Sumit Arora are pulling no punches to make sure that his cameo will be a treat for his fans," the source mentioned.
