Jackie Shroff has taken on the role of the lead antagonist in Baby John. The first promo of him as the villain Babbar Sher is here and this man has many shades to him - he is deadly, but he's also quirky. Shroff, in the role of Sher, is a unique villain where you cannot predict his next move unless he's already in action. Here's the promo...

Jackie Shroff introduced as lead antagonist Babbar Sher

In the promo, the style with which Jackie looks through his eyes and plays with his moustache is focused upon. His forehead wrinkles also come into focus. This man smokes two beedi at once.

He is introduced through a song where fire is lit up and people pave the way for him. Here, Babbar Sher is a prisoner who has just killed with an unusual weapon. And he has not just killed one person, but Babbar Sher has murdered at least eight people at once! Of course, in prison, he is rooted for.

The various shades of Babbar Sher

The promo also sees a shot of Sher breaking the glass into pieces. His reflection on the broken glass - various versions of him seen there - is no less than a masterpiece in itself. With that, we are introduced to an old man with white hair and an almost grand moustache who has anger in his eyes. He introduces his own name, followed by sequences of people falling into the furniture, which is burning down. Even in the situation, even as his own hands burn, Babbar Sher smokes his two beedi.

A quirky side to Babbar Sher? Yes, please!

Before the promo comes to an end, one can see how Sher takes sacrifice seriously. He has a whole ritual around people and does not even flinch as the blood splatters across. Moreover, he sits like a king, with his leg up the chair, which is no less than a throne to him. However, the makers also tease his fun side minutes before the promo actually comes to an end. So, while Babbar Sher is a deadly villain, he also has a quirky side to him.

Directed by Kalees, Baby John stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. The movie is backed by Jawan director Atlee and will be released in theatres on December 25 this year.
