Babli: Soumitrisha clarifies her involvement in Raj Chakraborty’s film

Based on Buddhadeb Guha’s novel, the film will feature Subhashree Ganguly, Abir Chatterjee and Sauraseni Maitra. Recently, the mahurat of the film.

Raj Chakraborty is all set with his film, Babli. OTTplay first reported that the director was preparing for the film. Subhashree Ganguly will make a comeback after her second child and will pair up with Abir Chatterjee for the first time. Based on Buddhadeb Guha’s novel, the film will also feature Sauraseni Maitra. Recently, the mahurat of the film.

Recently, speculations were rife that Sumitrisha Kundu, who debuted on the big screen with Dev’s Pradhan, might also play a key role in the film. The speculations started after the actress commented on Raj’s social media post, saying, “Hey boss.”.

However, the actress clarified that she would not work in the film. In an interview with Ei Samay, Soumitrisha said, “I am not working in Babli. The Mumurat took place. If I was there, my photos would have been published, isn’t it?”

Raj started his year with the announcement of Babli. “The most favourite novel of Buddhadeb Guha will come on the big screen. This is a dream project. I, hereby, begin my journey toward that dream. I couldn’t wait to start the shooting. I need everyone’s blessing. Thanks, everybody,” he said.

Meanwhile, Soumitrisha has hurt herself while shooting for an ad campaign. She tripped over a couple of steps and wounded her toenail. The pain and wound aggravated so much that she had to rush to a hospital, only after finishing the shooting. She had a minor surgery.
