The late actor Irrfan Khan's son is going to soon make his debut with Qala and also has a series titled The Railway Men. He's also a part of another series, Friday Night Plan which comes from Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.
According to a report in Mid-Day the series went on the floors over the weekend in Mumbai.
Vatsal Neelakantan, who has previously worked in the creative teams of Excel's projects like Sharmaji Namkeen, Inside Edge and Mirzapur is directing.
Mid-Day writes that the team for Friday Night Plan began shooting around Grand Hotel in south Mumbai. A source close to development told the outlet that Babil had been in talks to join this project for a long time, and that the team shot through the night. They will then shoot in different parts of the city over a period of two weeks.

The first look for Qala, which is backed by Clean Slate Filmz was released in April last year. The movie is directed by Anvitaa Dutt of Bulbbul-fame and also marks the return of actor Tripti Dimri to Netflix.
Meanwhile, The Railway Men is Yash Raj Film's first OTT project and also stars R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyenndu. The series centres around the Bhopal gas tragedy of 1984. Newcomer Shiv Rawail is directing the series, which is slated to be out on December 2 this year.
