Babil Khan recalls meeting Shah Rukh Khan on Billu set - 'Main chippak gaya unse'

Babil Khan recently opened up about meeting Shah Rukh Khan on the set of Billu. The actor's father Irrfan Khan shared screen space with SRK in the 2009 film.

Irrfan Khan worked with Shah Rukh Khan in filmmaker Priyadarshan's film Billu, which was released in 2009. When Irrfan was shooting with SRK for the film, the actor's son Babil Khan visited the set. Recently, in an interview, Babil recalled meeting Shah Rukh on the set of Billu. The Qala actor walked down memory lane and shared how he jumped on SRK's leg and refused to let go. Babil mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan arrived in a Bentley on the movie set.

Babil Khan recalls his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan

In an interview with MensXP, Babil Khan shared his fond memory of meeting Shah Rukh Khan on the set of Billu. The actor revealed that he never got the feeling that 'this man is Shah Rukh Khan'. Babil said, "I jumped on his leg, I was small at that time. Main chippak gaya unse."

What happened next? Well, Shah Rukh Khand did not say anything to Babil. He softly patted on his head and started walking with him while he kept hugging SRK's leg.

Babil Khan on not attending Bollywood parties

In the same conversation, Babil also revealed why he is not spotted at Bollywood parties like other star kids. "Because I am not a star kid. Baba was not a contemporary star from any angle," he said. Khan added that his father has now become a star 'because of all the chatter'. Babil added that his dad was different.

For the uninitiated, Babil Khan was 22 when he lost his father and actor Irrfan Khan. The Billu actor passed away in 2020.

On the work front for Babil Khan

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Babil Khan was last seen in the Netflix series The Railway Men. He shared screen space with R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyenndu in the web show, which premiered on November 18, 2023.

Up next, Babil has filmmaker Shoojit Sircar's The Umesh Chronicles. He will be seen alongside legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. An official update about the film's release date is yet to be made.
