Rukmini Vasanth has amassed several fans to her name over the last few days and needless to say, the reason is her performance in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. Prior to the release of the film, the actress had only one major acting credit to her name (Srini's Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni) but her role as Priya in Hemanth M Rao's film has surely helped her leave a strong impression on the Kannada moviegoers.

At the recently held Baanadariyalli trailer launch event, Rukmini received an extremely warm welcome from the crowd present as she took the stage after being introduced as 'Putti'. Of course, those who have watched Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A will know that her character of Priya is fondly referred to as Putti by Rakshit Shetty's Manu.

"Baanadariyalli helped me hone my comic timing"

Having received an extremely affable response from the crowd, Rukmini Vasanth looked in great spirits as she went about thanking her Baandariyalli crew for various reasons. She would thank director Preetham Gubbi for making her pick up a new skill of surfing and not using a body double for the portions involving the water sport. She would thank well-known cinematographer Preetha Jayaraman, who has incidentally written the story of Baandariyalli, for writing her a great part. Alongside, she would also thank actor Golden Star Ganesh and Rangayana Raghu for helping her hone the craft of acting.

"Acting with you guys is like attending a school (a good one) and I was learning every single day. I learnt how to improve my skills, especially my comic timing. If I have any comic timing to boast today, that's because of you both," said Rukmini before thanking the rest of the core crew of the film.

"Baanadariyalli: Gold Fish was my first choreographed song and I was anxious shooting for it, says Rukmini Vasanth"

Rukmini Vasanth plays Leela in the film

Speaking of her character in Baanadariyalli, Rukmini plays Leela and her character will be seen performing adventure surfing in the film. The actress underwent special training to fit into this groove and while she started out on the journey with a founded fear of water, she later said that she took to it really well and even began enjoying it a lot.

Reeshma Nanaiah, the other female lead in the film, will be seen as a wildlife photographer and the makers have captured her portions in Kenya's Maasai Mara and other exotic wildlife regions. Baanadariyalli is out in theatres on September 28.
