The first-look poster of Sreenath Bhasi-starrer Azadi has been unveiled. The makers of the Jo George-directed film took to their social media handles to share the poster. Veteran actress Vani Viswanath plays a police officer in the film, written by Sagar Hari. Produced by Faisal Raja, under the banner of Little Crew Productions, Azadi features Raveena Ravi, daughter of dubbing artist Sreeja Ravi, as the female lead.

Azadi’s plot and cast

The story of Azadi revolves around a family, in which a woman is rescued from a difficult situation by her husband and father. Varun Unni has composed the music for the film.

The movie’s ensemble cast also includes Lal, Saiju Kurup, TG Ravi, Rajesh Sharma, Boban Samuel, Sabu Ami, Jilu Joseph, Abhiram, Anthony Elur and Abin Bino.

Raveena Ravi’s second appearance in Mollywood

Following in the footsteps of her mother, Raveena started off her career as a dubbing artist, and later appeared in Tamil and Malayalam movies. The actress, who was last seen in Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan, is ready to make her second appearance in Mollywood.

Vani Viswanath makes a comeback

Legendary actress Vani is making a comeback after a 10-year hiatus. Her last film in Malayalam was the sequel to the comedy entertainer Mannar Mathai Speaking. She had earlier announced a movie with her husband, actor-director Baburaj, titled The Criminal Lawyer. Thought to be a crime thriller, more updates about the film are awaited.

Sreenath Bhasi’s latest film

Meanwhile, Sreenath was last seen in Corona Dhavan, helmed by debutant director Nithin CC. The film also starred Lukman Avaran and Sruthy Jayan. Azadi marks the 50th movie of his career.
