Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly teamed up with Sooraj Barjatya for his next film. The latest development is regarding the romantic film's leading lady.

It was recently reported that filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has found his new Prem in Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana. The director's upcoming romantic film has yet to be titled. Two Hindi film actresses are apparently being considered for the leading lady's role. The buzz is that Sara Ali Khan and Triptii Dimri are the top choices for Sooaj's next film, which will star Ayushmann in the lead role. One of these two actresses will eventually play the lead heroine's part.

Sara Ali Khan or Triptii Dimri: Who will star in Ayushmann Khurrana's next?

According to a Mid-Day report, Sara Ali Khan and Triptii Dimri are in consideration for the role. However, the makers will cast only one actress who can embody Sooraj Barjatya's vision of grace.

A source told the tabloid that Sara has the charm and mainstream appeal that could align with the Rajshri universe. On the other hand, Triptii's performances in Bulbbul and Qala make her a strong candidate to bring a layered approach to the character.

"Ayushmann is already doing another film with Sara whereas it will be a new jodi if he teams up with Triptii. That said, Triptii is busy for a good part of next year with Vishal Bhardwaj’s film on Hussain Ustara and two other projects. Sooraj-ji will meet both actors in January, and a look test will determine the decision. Their chemistry with Ayushmann will also be another factor," the source added. Once everything falls in place, the film will go on floors in the summer of 2025.

Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming films

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana has a couple of exciting projects lined up. The actor will star in Thama. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, will be released on Diwali 2025. Ayushmann will star alongside Rashmika Mandanna in this spooky comedy.

Khurrana also has an untitled project with Sara lined up. It will be produced by Karan Johar and directed by Aakash Kaushik.
