Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's Thama is set for a Diwali 2025 release. The latest report suggests that the teaser will be unveiled alongside Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava in theaters.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's Chhaava is all set to hit theaters on February 14. The historical action movie is directed by Laxman Utekar and will highlight the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with Vicky playing the lead role as Sambhaji. Ahead of the release, a report suggests that Chhaava will attach the teaser of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika's upcoming horror-comedy, Thama.

Thama teaser to be unveiled alongside Chhaava

A recent report is suggesting that the teaser of Thama will be unveiled alongside the release of Vicky Kaushal’s historical epic Chhaava in theaters. The Free Press Journal has quoted Always Bollywood that the teaser of the movie will be out with Chhaava.

Taking to their X handle, they penned, “Just watched the 47 Sec lengthy announcement teaser promo of (Censor Copy) #Thama starring #AyushmannKhurrana #RashmikaMandanna & #NawazuddinSiddiqui . Must say a total wildcard journey in @MaddockFilms ‘s hit list bucket This teaser will be out with #Chhaava."

About Thama

In October 2024, the makers of Thama revealed a gripping title video with an intense soundtrack. The tagline read, “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one. Brace yourselves for #Thama – Diwali 2025!"

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar (Munjya), the film features a stellar cast including Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

About Chhaava

Chhaava follows Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's heroic journey as he overcomes challenges and stands against the Mughal Empire, highlighting his bravery and legacy.

The film is based on Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel Chhava, which depicts Sambhaji Maharaj's struggles and eventual martyrdom against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Apart from Vicky, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna will play Aurangzeb's role. Ashutosh Rana will portray Hambirrao Mohite while Diana Penty will be seen as Aurangzeb's daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.

The cast also features Divya Dutta as Soyarabai Bhosale, Vineet Kumar, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopaam, and Pradeep Rawat.

The runtime of Chhaava is 2 hours, 41 minutes, and 50 seconds, as per CBFC. The film will hit theaters on February 14.
