Just three days after the theatrical release of Dream Girl 2, the film’s lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana has expressed that he is eagerly waiting to watch Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan at the theatres soon.

This revelation by Ayushmann came during ‘Ask Ayushmann’ session held on Twitter today during which Vicky Donor (2012) actor emoted this feeling. In the session, a fan asked Ayushmann whether he is excited to watch Jawan at the theatres. Replying to this, Ayushmann said, “Pooja ki jawaani aa chuki hai. Next #jawan aayegi. #excited #AskAyushmann”.

If you notice, Ayushmann has indirectly promoted his movie ‘Dream Girl 2’ via this message. In the movie, Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann plays a dual role wherein one of the characters is named Pooja.

About Dream Girl 2

Dream Girl 2 emerges as a comedic drama directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, backed by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor of Balaji Motion Pictures. A spiritual successor to the 2019 hit Dream Girl, the movie boasts a star-studded ensemble including Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, and Seema Pahwa. The narrative centers around a young man who, through cross-dressing and identity deception, ushers in chaos and perplexity.

Commencing in August 2022 and concluding in March 2023, principal photography laid the foundation for its theatrical release on August 25, 2023. The film's musical landscape is shaped by Meet Bros, Tanishk Bagchi, and Arko, with Hitesh Sonik crafting the background score. The first single, "Dil Ka Telephone 2.0," debuted on August 10, 2023, followed by the second, "Naach," on August 16, 2023, and the third, "Jamnapaar," on August 21, 2023.

So far, Dream Girl 2 has minted over Rs 40 crores across theatres in India. The promotions of the film are going on a magnanimous scale. Tomorrow, Ayushmann is expected to touchdown in Ahmedabad to promote the movie among local people in the city.
