Sivakarthikeyan wrapped the shoot of his upcoming project, Ayalaan in January last year. There is a lot of interest around the movie because of its genre, following the release of its first glimpse.
The latest interesting news about the movie is a comment by the editor Ruben. As reported by the Times of India, the editor has said that the movie will meet Hollywood standards and also that the wait for the film will be worth it. The editor, who has reportedly seen some edited footage from the movie, also added that Ayalaan will be a milestone in the actor’s career.
Ruben, who is the editor of the movie, started his career with the romantic-comedy Kandaen. He has also edited some notable works such as Raja Rani, Vedalam, Theri, Mersal, Annaatthe and Pushpa: The Rise.
Meanwhile, directed by R. Ravikumar, the movie Ayalaan is touted to be a science-fiction movie that will revolve around an alien landing on earth. The movie, which has a lot of VFX work in it, is produced by R. D. Raja under the banner of 24AM Studios.
Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead in the movie, which also stars Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar and Karunakaran, among others. The movie is expected to release in the second half of this year.
On the technical front, the movie features a lot of experienced personnel involved. A. R is Rahman composing the music and Nirav Shah is handling the cinematography for the science-fiction flick.
Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in the black comedy Doctor directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has a long list of movies in the pipeline. He will be seen in the comedy Don, Singapathai and other unnamed projects.
