Tovino Thomas’ Minnal Murali is grabbing attention worldwide! After Chris Hemsworth-starrer Extraction’s director Sam Hargrave had shared its teaser almost a year ago, the latest Hollywood bigwig to extend his best wishes to the Malayalam superhero film is music director Alan Silvestri.

The Academy Award-winning composer, who has scored the music for superhits such as Forrest Gump, Cast Away and The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War and Avenger: Endgame, took to his Instagram stories to share Minnal Murali’s latest trailer and wrote, “Sending best wishes on this beautiful film.”

For those wondering what’s the connection between the Mollywood superhero film and the acclaimed music director, it’s the action choreographer of Minnal Murali – Vlad Rimburg, who had worked as the fight co-ordinator in MCU’s Inhumans.

Last year, Extraction director Sam Hargrave, who had also worked as an action coordinator in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, gave a shout out to his buddy Vlad and the Malayalam movie after being impressed by its teaser.

The upcoming movie, directed by Basil Joseph, revolves around a youngster named Jason, who acquires superpowers after being struck by lightning. Tovino plays the lead character in the movie, which is essentially a superhero-origin story, and will be seen in four different get-ups.

Aju Varghese, Femina George, Baiju Santosh, Mammukkoya will be seen in pivotal role with Tamil actor Guru Somasundaram, playing the antagonist in the movie that is set to drop on Netflix on December 24 in six languages – Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English. Samir Thahir is the cinematographer of the movie, which has music by Shaan Rahman and Sushin Shyam.
