Netflix dropped the much-awaited trailer of Avatar: The Last Airbender on January 23, and introduced Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai

Amidst its Valentine's week release, Netflix dropped the striking official trailer of Avatar: The Last Airbender on January 23, 2024. The live-action series is based on the animated program of the same name, which aired on Nickelodeon channel from 2005 to 2008, and it's worth the wait!
The internet exploded after the trailer dropped, showering the show with reactions from adoring fans. Netflix capitalised on the buzz with a special event, where Daniel Dae Kim himself dived headfirst into the online commentary. From flirty declarations to gushing fan art, the Korean-American actor was in a wave of emotions as he navigated the diverse range of audience response. For the unversed, Daniel Dae Kim played the role of Fire Lord Ozai, the father of Zuko and Azula.
While one Twitter user wrote, “Daniel Dae Kim’s Fire Lord Ozai is so zaddyyyyy”, another wrote, “I'm interesting in unhinging my jaw and consuming Daniel Dae Kim”. Some went on to flirtatious mode and wrote, “He could literally burn me and I’d say thank you.” Daniel seemed quite surprised, yet laughed hard, and called these comments “fiery”.
The trailer shows Aang, a little kid, who is a bit scared and confused at first, tries really hard to learn how to control water and air like a super-powerful bender. We don't see him bend fire or earth yet, but we know he can connect with magical spirits, and that'll probably be in the show. The trailer also introduced Aang's fluffy pet, who sticks by his side through everything, and lots of exciting actions with mesmerising special effects and fights that make your heart race.
Although this latest live-action version is based on the same story, it will be quite exciting to watch the supernatural actions in human form. Starring Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousle as Sokka, Dallas James Liu as Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung as Iroh and Arden Cho as June, Avatar the Last Airbender has twenty episodes. The series will be released on February 22, 2024 only on Netflix.
