Speaking in an interview with The Times of India, the actor said, "I've been learning Telugu for the past year, and can already speak a bit of it now. In fact, I have been conversing in the language with my cast and crew now in Hyderabad, "
The actor said she had been listening to Telugu movie scripts for over a year and her wait ended when she was offered the part in a movie made by the makers of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster hit Pushpa: The Rise, and that they had launched Krithi Shetty and Priyanka Arul Mohan and would provide her with a good launchpad.
Talking about her role, she said that she had a role that wasn't a heroine that appeared in just a few scenes but had a role throughout the movie, which has a city-based subject.
The movie is directed by Ramesh Kaduri, who has been an associate of well-known Tollywood directors Bobby and Gopichand Mallineni and also stars young actor Kiran Abbavaram in the lead.
Ravi also added that she has started shooting for the film and has worked for 10 days now, and will move on to other projects after the end of this schedule.
The actor also has debutant director SK Vettri’s Yenni Thuniga, co-starring Jai and Vattam, in the kitty.
