Atharvaa has had three releases in 2022 and currently has a line-up which includes a few projects. The first look poster of his next outing has been released by Vijay Sethupathi. The film, titled Thanal, is tipped as a thriller flick and the poster features the star sporting a mysterious expression.

Ravindra Madhava has directed the film which has Lavanya playing the female lead. Ashwin Kakumanu plays a crucial role in the project which has Justin Prabhakaran as its music composer while Sakthi Saravanan has been roped in to crank the camera.

Kalaivanan R and R Sakthi Saravanan are in charge of editing and action choreography respectively while Videsh is helming art direction along with S Ayyappan. Hari Kiran is on board to monitor dance choreography for the movie which has been produced by M John Peter under the banner of Annai Film Production.

Atharvaa and Lavanya expressed excitement at being part of the project and thanked Vijay for unveiling the first look. Atharvaa had shared screen space with Vijay in Imaikaa Nodigal which was released in 2018. The former has Address and Nirangal Moondru in his kitty currently. While the former is delayed owing to reasons best known to the team, the latter, directed by Karthick Naren, was wrapped recently.

Atharvaa's films which were released last year - Kuruthi Aattam, Pattathu Arasan and Trigger which garnered average reviews from critics and moviegoers - are currently streaming on aha Tamil, Netflix and aha Tamil respectively.

The actor is said to be in talks with Bala for replacing Suriya's role in the filmmaker's Vanangaan. The Jai Bhim star had opted out of the movie sometime ago as he felt the film's progress was not happening as per the initial plans.
